Our Choirs
We have three different choirs so you can choose the choir that is the best fit, based on your levels of confidence and musical experience as well as the amount of time you are able and willing to devote to choir. Your choral experience will be shaped by choosing the choir that best suits your experience and goals.
A Joyful Noise - wednesday choir
Wednesday choir is a non-performing choir that provides a no pressure learning environment for singers without previous music experience, as well as experienced choral singers looking for an opportunity to continue using and learning about their voice. Sing without committing to a performance. You will have the opportunity to learn the building blocks of choral music in a relaxed environment in fun weekly rehearsals.
A Joyful Noise - monday choir
Monday choir continues to learn the fundamentals of choral singing and develop confidence as choral singers. You will be given the opportunity to share what you have learned by performing in at least two annual concerts, as well as some outreach performances. You will also have a chance to sing solos, duets and trios in the always popular monday choir Talent Night.
A Joyful Noise – thursday choir
Thursday choir explores more challenging repertoire and performs in several formal concerts each season, as well as some outreach singing opportunities. To get the most out of the thursday choir experience, some musical background is recommended. Choir members are expected to practice outside of regular choir rehearsal times. Members of thursday choir often have the chance to collaborate with professional local musicians and occasional international summer tours.
